12 value archetypes
An Archetype is the value that wins out most often in your life when you have to choose. Each has a strength and a shadow.
- Freedom
Steppe wind
You don't belong to a place — you pass through it. You cannot be held, only met. Your main reflex is to find the exit before you've even entered.
- Security
A stone house by the sea
You are the walls that withstand the storm. People come to you for warmth, but no one sees how much strength it takes to keep the foundation from cracking. You're constantly listening to the weather forecast.
- Adventure
Tightrope walker without a safety net
You feel alive only at heights where you can fall. The ground, for you, is a boring place. Life is a series of jumps, and you barely remember where you landed.
- Intimacy
A bonfire in the forest
They gather around you. You're a center of warmth, a light where people can truly be themselves. But a campfire can't leave those sitting near it — and it can't burn alone.
- Loyalty
An old oak at the field's edge
You don't leave. Your roots are deep; the storm will pass. You stand where you were planted, sheltering those in your shade. The only question is whether you chose this field yourself.
- Honesty
Scalpel
You cut to the core. It's hard to pretend around you — you see the seam on the mask. This saves people. And it hurts — sometimes without anesthesia.
- Growth
A snake shedding its skin
You are constantly shedding your skin. The old version of you is a little shameful, the new one isn't ready yet. You don't 'are' — you 'become'.
- Mastery
Clockmaker
You see the millimeter others miss. Your world is made of precision. But a clockmaker spends a life hunched over mechanisms — and sometimes misses what time it actually is.
- Care
A well in a village
People come to you for water. You give it to everyone who asks — and no one asks what feeds the well itself. You are deeper than you seem, but you can dry up unnoticed.
- Recognition
Lighthouse
You are visible from afar — and you shine so that you are seen. A lighthouse saves ships, but if no one sails, it begins to doubt if it exists at all.
- Creativity
Alchemist in the basement
You transform chaos into form. Inside, something is always brewing. But the alchemist sits in the cellar for years, and no one on the outside knows there's gold there — sometimes, not even he himself is sure.
- Justice
Scales in the Square
You're always weighing: who gave how much, who took how much. You maintain a balance others don't notice. But scales can't hug.
